Installing the DSS Player Standard
This article explains how to change the Olympus DS-3400, DS-5000, and DS-5000iD PRO Dictation Recorder file format from the default DSS PRO (DS2) to the DSS file format.
STEP ONE
Make sure the recorder is connected to the computer via the USB cable or Docking Station.
STEP TWO
From the Toolbar Click on Device
STEP THREE
Click on Device Settings
STEP FOUR
Click on the Recording folder under the Adminstration Settings....
STEP FIVE
Change the format to DSS Classic
STEP SEVEN
Click Update >> Select All Page
STEP EIGHT
Device Settings are updated. Click OK, unplug recorder and check recorder.
