Solution How to turn the power off on the Sony ICD-BM1, ICD-MX20, or ICD-U recorders:

When the IC recorder is not playing or recording, it uses very little power. For this reason, there is no button to turn off the power entirely. However, while the recorder is stopped, you can turn off the display by sliding the HOLD switch in the direction of the arrow.

NOTE: If the IC recorder is not going to be used for a long period of time (more than a month, for example), remove the batteries to prevent damage from battery leakage or corrosion.
