Installing the DSS Player Standard

When Installing DSS Player Standard Upgrade on a PC that has DSS Player V7 installed, the installer will perform the installation successfully by generating a license ID based on the current DSS Player V7 license ID.

System Requirements
  • Operating System : Windows 2000 with SP4, Windows XP with SP1 or later, Windows Vista
Support Devices
  • Olympus Recorder DS-Series, WS-Series
  • Foot Switch RS-25/26 and RS-27/28
Upgrade Specifics

This upgrade is applicable in the following cases:

  • If DSS Player V7 bundled with AS-2300 or Plus version is installed, the upgrade will install DSS Player Standard (Transcription Module.)
  • If DSS Player V7 bundled with DS-Series recorders or Plus version is installed, the upgrade will install DSS Player Standard (Dictation Module.)

Notes:

  • DSS Player V7 will not be uninstalled automatically after upgrade.
  • DSS Player Standard settings are default setting and no necessarily those of V7.
Installation Instructions
  1. Click the DSS Player V7 Upgrade to Standard link to start the download.
  2. Save the file to your hard disk.
  3. Close all open programs.
  4. Double-click the DSSStandardUpgrade.exe program file on your hard disk to start the update program.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
